Esa Yoga

Our Mission

Founded by Corey Esannason, a kid at heart, Esa Yoga was born out of her idea that we can all continually explore, discover and grow, one yoga pose at time.

This principle, informs and guides our core teachings and practices at Esa Yoga, as we focus on helping students and communities better connect to themselves and their surroundings.

Whether it's an adult class with specific attention on alignment and breath or a children's class full of animated poses, our programs create a safe and encouraging environment to nurture and promote physical, intellectual, social and emotional growth.

We strive to work together with each client, community and/or school to offer programming which meets their needs and goals. Programs are designed to give each student the opportunity to develop balance, coordination, strength and flexibility while simultaneously developing creativity and self-awareness.

Our ultimate goal is to for each of our students to potentiate their well-being with each yoga pose.

Come learn and grow with us!

An ode to yoga…

"From rubbing our hands together quickly to warm them up. To striking our warrior poses to stretch and strengthen. Drifting into upward dog and dropping into downward dog. Doing our best to hold our poses. To center our bodies. To be mindful and recognize that we always have our quiet bodies with us. Thank you for showing us. Thank you for helping us. Thank you for teaching us. We will remember!

Corey Esannason - Founder & Director

Her combined passion for moving and learning led her to her current career as a movement and yoga educator.

Corey's yoga journey began as a dance major at Skidmore College. Amazed by yoga's unique and constant opportunity for mental and physical discovery, her practice led her to Om Yoga Center in 2004 where she received her teaching certification under the direction of Cyndi Lee, Joe Miller and Christie Clark. She has since has received additional pre-natal and children's certifications from Janice Clarfield, Karma Kids Yoga and Yoga Ed.  Extensive experience teaching a range of students from young children to adults has helped her progress in personal and professional practice.

Before starting Esa Yoga, Corey was the Children's Yoga Specialist with The Butterflies Program, a supportive mental health program, serving children birth to five, their families and communities in New York City.  Upon her move to Westchester, she created Esa Yoga, where she is currently sharing the joy and benefits of yoga throughout Westchester county serving over 500 students and clients a month. Whether it's an adult class with specific attention on alignment and breath or a children's class full of animated poses, Corey uses her playful nature to create a safe and encouraging environment to nurture and promote physical, intellectual, social and emotional growth.

Corey is grateful to all of her teachers, students, friends and family who teach and inspire her everyday.  Esa Yoga is dedicated to her Mom, who gave her the experiences to learn, grow and explore and the support to continually empower.

Lindsay Fletcher - Yoga Teacher

Lindsay Fletcher has always been passionate about health and wellness. She discovered yoga in 2005 and quickly fell in love with the practice. She obtained her 200 hour yoga teacher certification from Yoga Effects in Manhattan in 2008 and has been teaching ever since. In 2011 Lindsay obtained her Master’s in Education from Hunter College. As a teacher, Lindsay loved incorporating yoga into the classroom and loved watching the little yogis blossom as they found their balance in tree pose. In 2018, she received her CYT from Karma Kids and fell in love with sharing yoga with children of all ages.   Lindsay loves that moment when a big smile comes across a child’s face when they master a pose they have been working towards and say “I did it!”

Lindsay lives in Croton with her husband and two children. When she is not on the mat, she can be found making a mess in the kitchen with her kids baking healthy treats.

Lucy Pallogudis - Yoga Teacher

Lucy Pallogudis has been teaching since 2016. She is a graduate of the Yoga Haven 200-hour training program. She received her kids teacher training certification in 2017. She has practiced since 2003 when Yoga helped her overcome postpartum stress following the birth of her first son. For Lucy, Yoga is immensely personal. Her passion for Yoga is apparent in her volunteer work and teaching with children and women at treatment facilities, where she applies Yoga to promote relaxation and healing.
